Custom stainless steel electrical enclosures built to your drawings. FN fabricates the enclosure body for washdown, coastal exposure, frequent cleaning, corrosive environments, or appearance-sensitive installations.

  • Material: SS201, SS304, SS316, SS316L, or a project-specified grade selected around the service environment.
  • Custom scope: Dimensions, cutouts, mounting, hardware, gasket interface, and surface finish.
  • For quotation: Provide the drawing, quantity, installation environment, and any special cutout or finish requirements.

Start with the environment, not the grade label. Stainless makes sense when moisture, salt, washdown, cleaning chemicals, or visible-finish requirements make painted steel a poor fit.

A stainless sheet does not protect a rough weld, carbon-steel screw, unsealed cutout, weak gasket path, or horizontal ledge that traps water. Those details belong in the drawing and RFQ.

Define indoor or outdoor use, humidity, chlorides, cleaning chemicals, washdown method, temperature, drainage, and expected service conditions before comparing SS201, SS304, SS316, or SS316L

Design out the weak spots

Specify weld cleanup, cutout edge treatment, hardware materials, gasket contact, and drainage. Crevices, mixed metals, and water traps can become the first problem.

Keep the finish intact through delivery

Confirm grain direction, visible-face acceptance, weld blending, protective film, accessory separation, corner protection, and crate method. A cross-grain scratch is hard to hide on a brushed door.

Stainless Steel Grades and Custom Design Options

SS304 or SS316 is not a complete specification. Define exposure, sheet thickness, finish, grain direction, weld treatment, openings, hardware, gasket, drainage, visible-face criteria, and field-installed accessories. Use the table as an RFQ checklist, not a universal performance guarantee.
